ChoirsAlive!2, hosted by the Great Northern Union Chorus, is a singing festival celebrating the common humanity of choirs as a vital part of the resilience of communities. The Great Northern Union is profoundly reimagining and rebuilding how we connect with communities through the arts. Our mission is to create unity between and among artists and communities, by sharing deeply human vocal harmony. ChoirsAlive!2 Is one of the ways we bring this mission to life.

This year, ChoirsAlive!2 will bring together the music of Calliope, Kith + Kin, Known MPLS, One Voice Mixed Chorus and the Great Northern Union on one stage. Our goal is to build relationships with each other and the communities we serve by combining our singing together with conversation, common purpose, and inspiration. Each choir will perform their own set and the festival will culminate in a mass sing of the world premier of “Our Voices Come Alive” with lyrics and music by Mo Field, inspired by the late Brittany Delaney. Come join us for great harmonies and some audience participation. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

ASL Interpretation will be provided at this performance.
