PAINT TO EXPRESS
Come as you are to paint, explore, and connect with your fellow painters. Memorialize the Movement will provide all attendees with free painting supplies – no experience necessary! This relaxing workshop is a space for reflection and community conversations. Although all are welcome, this is a Black, Indigenous, and People of Color centered workshop as safe spaces to express ourselves are not always available. This space is for you to show up as you are and be your authentic self.
Memorialize the Movement will provide all painters with a 12×12 inch plywood board that serves as a canvas. After the workshop, keep your piece to take home or leave it with MTM. If it’s left with MTM, it will join the Plywood Quilt; a collage of previous workshop artworks all brought together to create one large piece that depicts the rich emotions and experiences of our community.
