Mickey Guyton is a 4-time, Grammy-nominated artist and country music trailblazer. Over the course of her career, Mickey has been recognized for her musical achievements, including being named TIME Magazine’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2022 and CMT’s Breakout Artist of the Year in 2021.

Heralded by Rolling Stone as “one of country music’s most important voices,” Mickey Guyton “raises the rafters and distills emotion with impeccable clarity. Her high notes thrill, her nuance in storytelling captivates. A star for our times claims her place.” (NPR)
 
A trailblazing artist who made history as the first Black woman to earn a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album in 2021, Guyton is still innovating. Her newest album House on Fire is a blend of pop, country, gospel and soul that tackles motherhood and mental health.

Candace Mycale "Mickey" Guyton (born June 17, 1983) is an American country music singer and songwriter. She is signed to Capitol Nashville, and has released her debut single, "Better Than You Left Me". Candace Mycale "Mickey" Guyton was born on June 17, 1983 in Arlington, Texas, to parents Phyllis Ann Roddy and Michael Eugene Guyton. She said that she was inspired to begin a singing career after, at the age of eight, she saw LeAnn Rimes sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at the start of a Texas Rangers game. In 2011, Guyton signed with Capitol Nashville and recorded an extended play, Unbreakable three years later.
