SPB@25: Nutcracker Reimagined
Run time is approximately 2 hours with one 15 minute intermission.St. Paul Ballet’s 25th anniversary performances will be a celebratory affair, featuring alumni from the past 25 years as well as special guests. To mark our legacy as a trailblazer in MN ballet training, we are thrilled to feature guest artists from our 25 years alongside our already exceptional youth performers. Make use of our Pay-As-Able ticketing to gather family, friends and relatives to experience a performance that will be talked about for years to come. Trust us, you don’t want to miss this! St. Paul Ballet students of all ages will perform a mix of classic and brand-new choreography created and directed by SPB faculty such as Helen Hatch, Anthony Jones, and Alejandra Iannone. Those who have attended our past productions of The Nutcracker know to expect a multi-cultural, multi-genre take on the masterpiece. In past years, SPB has collaborated with beloved artists and dance organizations such as T. Mychal Rambo, CAAM Chinese Dance Theater, and James Sewell Ballet. Ballet Minnesota Presents the 35th Annual ‘The Classic Nutcracker’
Total run time is approximately two hours, which includes a 15 minute intermission. Ballet Minnesota’s 35th annual ‘The Classic Nutcracker’, returns to the O’Shaughnessy! Come celebrate this annual family holiday tradition!For novices to the ballet, this holiday story begins on Christmas Eve. We join a young girl, Clara, her mischievous brother, Fritz, and their family hosting a Christmas party. A latecomer to the party is Clara’s mysterious Godfather Drosselmeyer. He presents her with a marvelous gift, a Nutcracker doll.As Clara goes to sleep that night, we are transported into her dream of the Rat King fighting the Nutcracker and his army of toy soldiers. The Nutcracker Prince escorts Clara through an enchanted snow-covered forest and on to his Kingdom of the Sweets where Clara accepts the throne from the Sugar Plum Fairy. Enjoy The return of this classic holiday favorite!

These St. Kate’s artists will share their stories in ways that inspire them – through dance, poetry, acrobatics, music and song. Come to the storied Frey Theater and be a witness to the heart and magic of our St. Kate’s community! Featuring original projections, sculpture and design from current St. Kate’s art students as well as a special guest with the award winning SCU Dance Team, President Roloff! See the cast here! Directed by St. Kate’s alum and professional director Ms. Shanan Custer. *ASL interpretation will be provided at both the Friday and Saturday 7:30 p.m. performances (but not the 2:00 p.m. matinee)

The O’Shaughnessy Dance Cohort Pass
Attend four Dance Cohort productions for $60.*Steps to Purchase your Dance Cohort Pass Online:1. Click on the “Buy Tickets” link to the right of your first event.2. Scroll down and select the seating chart tab.3. From the seating chart map, click on the desired section of the auditorium.4. Click on your chosen seat.5. Click the green button “Add Tickets”6. Repeat steps 1-5 until you have selected a single ticket to each of the four performances in your Dance Cohort Pass. Our hours are 12-4 Tuesday – Friday and beginning two hours before showtime on performance days.*Tickets purchased online are subject to a per ticket fee of $2.75 that goes directly to our ticket service provider. With fees, our Dance Cohort Pass is $71.00. If you wish to avoid this ticketing fee, please place your subscription order over the phone or in person with our Ticket Office.
