The run time is approximately 90 minutes which includes one fifteen minute intermission. Step into the enchanting world of Fables, Tales, and Morals… Oh My! where classic stories come to life with a modern twist. This whimsical production combines timeless fables, fantastical tales and thought-provoking morals. In this captivating dance production, the spotlight in the first act turns on the misunderstood misfits of classic fairy tales. The Big Bad Wolf, Goldilocks, and the Troll take center stage as their untold backstories unfold, revealing the vulnerabilities and challenges that shaped them into the perceived villains in the classic tales of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Three Billy Goats Gruff, and The Three Little Pigs.The second act fuses “The Emperor’s New Clothes”, and “The Tortoise and The Hare” in Fabletown. The emperor challenges the animals to a grand race, with a swindler-woven illusionary robe for the winner, triggering an overconfident hare to compete against the steady tortoise.Please note that ticket prices include a $2 per ticket O’Shaughnessy fee.

Will Call will open at 8 a.m. on Friday.The MSHSL State One Act Play Festival brings together the champions from each geographical region to showcase one act plays from high schools around the state.The Morning Session performances are at 9:15 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., and 11:45 a.m. Afternoon sessions are at 1:30 p.m., 2:15 p.m., 3:15 p.m., and 4 p.m. Each performance has an approximate run time of 35 minutes or less. Doors to the theater open at 8:45 a.m. before the first performance.

See Ticket Office information here.     As the ancient Chinese ancestors explored the mysteries of the universe, the Five Elements (Wuxing) theory—centered on Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water—was born. These five elements, drive the creation and transformation of all things. Corresponding to the five elements are the five colors—Green, Red, Yellow, White, and Black— which infuse vibrancy into the humbleness of daily life. These colors encapsulate the essence of all creation. Over centuries of cultural evolution, they have formed a uniquely enchanting Chinese “palette.”The dance performance “Ablaze with Color” draws its inspiration from these five color families, seamlessly blending them with China’s rich traditions, cultural customs, and historical heritage.
