HERD is an innovative storytelling platform that empowers women to share their stories with a supportive audience. Through personal narratives and active listening, HERD fosters a vibrant community, providing women a space to connect, find common ground, and discover their authentic voices.
HERD hosts amateur storytelling performances by women, for women. Join us to listen, share, laugh, weep, bond, and connect! HERD offers a safe and empowering space for women to share their true stories—free of judgment and competition. We draw inspiration from other story slams, but with a deeply women-centered and joy-forward focus. Learn more at www.youareherd.org
The theme for HERD on February 11th is CRUSH, a topic open to wide interpretation. We invite stories exploring the powerful pull of infatuation, obsession, and longing, as well as the burden of expectation. CRUSH could be a tale of being drawn toward a person, a goal, or a future self—and facing the consequences of that force. It might be a narrative of relentless pursuit, crushing expectations, or intense ambition. Perhaps CRUSH means moony first-love, a broken heart, the dynamics of power dating, or the sheer force of true desire.
