WoS Fest 2016
"Charting a Course: Women's Journeys," the inaugural WoS Fest, is aimed at inspiring women to lead and influence through art and ideas, igniting women’s innate power, consciousness and sense of justice. The theme refers to different approaches to exploration – whether that’s personal growth, intimate relationships, intercultural navigation or literal world adventures. We invite Twin Cities audiences to take this journey with this inclusive community of women inspired to make a difference in the world.

WoS Fest 2016 -- Charting A Course: Women's Journeys
April 15-24, 2016

The O’Shaughnessy’s acclaimed Women of Substance series celebrates 20 years next season. As a prelude to that milestone, St. Catherine University will present “Charting a Course: Women’s Journeys,” our first Women of Substance Festival (WoS Fest).

The festival features world explorer Ann Bancroft and her Access Water Expedition Team as the 2016 Kelly Distinguished Scholars-in-Residence, along with lectures, panel discussions, art exhibitions and theater performances on the St. Paul campus from April 15-24.

WoS Fest opens and closes with concerts by two outstanding women artists – each exceptional and ground-breaking in their respective genres: Meredith Monk (April 15), composer, singer, director/choreographer and creator of new opera, music-theater works, films and installations, and Angelique Kidjo (April 24), the Grammy Award-winning “undisputed Queen of African Music” (Daily Telegraph).

Please use this calendar to plan your own exploration of the festival.
